Internet

The internet is really exactly what people mean when they think of telepathy.

Art Media

Cartoons are meant to distract children from the morally bankrupt actions of their parents.

Nostaglia is the feeling of retroactive stockholm syndrome about parental neglect.

Ethics

Having kids and using a teleporter both violate the non-aggression principle.

You cannot claim ownership over relationships. This is what left anarchists really mean when they say nobody should own the means of production: An ideal factory is people relating eccentrically in order to move energy and matter in specific confugurations; not the machines, buildings, or goods themselves which can be legitimately owned.

Structural violence is not violence. The idea that the social sanction of unethical behavior is more problematic than the behavior itself is idiotic.

Statism is pretty much always the root problem. There is no such thing as a radical statist.

Suicide

Fully acknowledging that you will die someday, everything you do is effectively your method of commiting suicide.

The narrative that suicide attempts are cries for help is only true to the extent you're surrounded by assholes. It is perfectly possible to announce your intention to kill yourself without it being a manipulation of those who depend on your continued existence, provided you cushion it in the right way. "I'm going to retire from x sort of work."

Despite popular nihilist sentiments, it is actually absurd to commit suicide in order to avoid your own future suffering. You being dead is not the same as you avoiding pain. It is only NOT absurd when you commit suicide to spare other people future suffering, such as the obligation to tend to your ceaseless needs indefinately.

Paranormal

The paranormal isn't just what we don't understand, but also what we do understand and can't reveal without ruining a socail matrix we want to be in. They're white lies constructed with the same rigor scientific theories are. Humans don't fear the unknown. They actually fear unpleasant truths. So much so that they can faint just to procrastinate investigating something or being curious. As a general rule, a spooky anecdote cannot possibly be scarier than the reality, and is likely a rehearsal for that reality.

The reason we haven't been visited by aliens yet is because the technological level for distant space travel is farther along than the technological level for making yourself extinct.

Monsters are always terrestrials that got mislabeled: physically deformed people, trunkless elephants, hairless sloths, or basically any animal or non-communicable person in a role you've never seen on TV or illustrated in a childrens book up until that point. The panic that sets in is a basically just lack of cultural context or preparedness.
